A hobby for everyone

Model making is a fascinating hobby that attracts enthusiasts of all ages

Why even start?

This pastime unites all generations, develops patience, fine motor skills and brings joy from completed work. Some modeler groups even offer meetings and workshops where you can get valuable advice and inspiration for preparing your models. Modeling knows no borders and becomes a bridge between generations, connects families and creates, above all, friendly communities. The younger ones can discover history through models of old battles or vessels, while the older ones can reminisce about the old days or enjoy the precision work on the details of each project. All of this makes modeling a unique and popular hobby that has the ability to enrich lives with its challenges and endless creative possibilities. Internet forums, social networks and exhibitions or competitions are great sources for finding inspiration and support.

Getting started is really easy

Whether you're interested in trains, planes, ships, tanks or figures, it's easy to get started. All you have to do is choose the type of model that interests you, purchase the basic tools and materials, and you can start building. For beginning modellers, it is ideal to choose models that are not too complex and offer a friendly introduction to the hobby. Starter kits usually contain fewer parts and are designed with ease of assembly in mind. Whether you decide to build a model according to exact plans or take the path of creativity and create an original work, you will always have the joy (and a few pitfalls) of the creation process and pride in the final product

What will I need?

Every modeler should have at his disposal basic equipment that will enable him to do accurate and high-quality work. This mainly includes a high-quality modeling knife for precise cutting, tweezers for handling small parts, brushes of various sizes for painting and glue specially designed for models. Sandpaper or files to smooth out unevenness are also essential. For detailed work, it is good to have magnifying glasses or a magnifying lamp. Last but not least, modeling paints and varnishes are also suitable, which give the model a realistic appearance. It is also useful to have enough cleaning and degreasing products and a pad. And we can start building. Over time, you will definitely find out what is missing from your stock and slowly buy everything.
