An injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese light tank Type 95 Ha-Go in its late production form, in 1:35 scale from the Japanese manufacturer FineMolds. The set captures the machines of the 26th Tank Regiment deployed in the defense of the island of Iwo Jima. It is a release with reworked parts matching late production; the quality tooling offers the fine detail typical of this manufacturer. Check the exact package contents against the instructions.
The Type 95 Ha-Go was the most widespread Japanese light tank of the Second World War. It weighed around seven tons, had a crew of three men and its main armament was a 37 mm gun. It was fast and light but lightly armored and vulnerable to Allied tanks and anti-tank weapons. During the fighting for Iwo Jima in 1945 the Ha-Gos of the 26th Tank Regiment were often dug in and used as static firing positions.
Assemble the running gear and the tracks before you close the hull. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and strengthen the fine details with super glue. Apply a primer. Japanese tanks usually carried multi-color camouflage (earth yellow, green and brown), often completed by yellow dividing stripes. Suggest chipped paint and rust on the edges and build up the dust and volcanic soil of Iwo Jima with pigments on the running gear and the underside.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
