IJA Type 97 Shinhoto Chi-Ha 1:35 (FineMolds): an injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese medium tank with the new turret.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese medium tank Type 97 (improved), nicknamed Shinhoto Chi-Ha, that is with the new turret, in 1:35 scale from FineMolds. According to the manufacturer it is largely new tooling with a new interior and multi-part tracks. The model builds precisely the version with the reworked turret and the more powerful gun.
The Type 97 Chi-Ha was the most widespread Japanese medium tank of the Second World War. The designation Shinhoto means new turret: the version received a reworked turret with a more capable 47 mm gun, which dealt with Allied armor better than the original short 57 mm weapon. Part of the armor was thickened as well. The machines fought in the Pacific and on the Asian mainland and formed the backbone of the Japanese armored units.
First finish the running gear and the lower hull, and with the interior, paint the inside before you close up the hull and the turret. Assemble the multi-part tracks patiently and let them cure properly. Glue the plastic with liquid cement. Apply a primer and spray the Japanese earth shades; break the typical multicolor camouflage down into areas. Add dust and mud to the running gear with pigments and washes.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
