An injection-molded plastic kit of the Czechoslovak Skoda PA-II armored car in 1:35 scale from Hobby Boss. The model captures the characteristic rounded shape of the hull, which earned the vehicle the nickname Zelva, the Turtle. Check the exact contents of the package and the number of decal schemes against the manufacturer's part number of this item.
The Skoda PA-II was an armored car design of the 1920s following on from the older PA-I type. Its armored hull had an unusually rounded shape, which was a rarity at the time and gave better resistance to bullets. The vehicle was symmetrical with driving positions at both ends, so it could reverse just as well as drive forward. Only a few examples were built; some of them later served with police forces.
Cut the parts off the sprues and glue them with a liquid model cement for plastic, then sand the joints. On a vehicle with a markedly rounded hull, take care that the body parts meet cleanly. Paint and accent the chassis and any interior before you close the hull. Apply a gloss coat before the decals; afterwards accent the detail with a wash and add weathering with pigments, as dust and mud effects on the chassis and the lower part of the hull will give the model a realistic look.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
