An injection-molded plastic kit of the iconic Renault 5 Turbo in the small collector scale of 1:43 from the French manufacturer Heller. Thanks to the lower part count the compact model is easy to manage and makes a pleasant entry into building car models.
The Renault 5 Turbo was shown as a concept at the Paris motor show in 1978 and was based on the R5 body, which the coachbuilder Heuliez reworked substantially. The essential difference was the turbocharged engine set in the middle at the rear, driving the rear wheels. The car had success in Group 4 and later Group B competition and became one of the most characteristic rally specials of its era.
Spray the body with an airbrush, use gloss varnish on the glossy areas and imitate chrome with a metallic paint or foil. Apply the sponsor and competition decals onto a gloss surface and protect the finished model with varnish. Small interior parts can be brought out with shades and a glaze.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
