Injection-molded plastic kit of the American M4A3E8 Sherman medium tank nicknamed Easy Eight in 1:48 scale from Tamiya. The model is supplied as an unassembled and unpainted kit. A commander half-figure and several marking options are usually included; check the exact contents against the manufacturer's information.
The M4A3E8 was a late and one of the most capable production Shermans. It earned the nickname Easy Eight from the E8 designation. Compared with the older Shermans it had the new HVSS suspension with horizontal volute springs and wider tracks, which improved the ride and lowered the ground pressure, and a longer 76 mm gun with better penetrating power. Tanks of this version fought in the closing stage of the Second World War in Europe and proved themselves again in the Korean War.
Even in the smaller 1:48 scale, assemble and paint the running gear and the tracks before closing up the hull. Separate the parts with a knife and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. After spraying the base shade with an airbrush, bring out the cast texture of the turret and the welds with a wash, add edge wear and dust the running gear with pigments. Do not forget the decals for the scheme you have chosen.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
