A foliage mat from the German maker HEKI measuring twenty-eight by fourteen centimeters. The covering in the shape of small leaves holds on a carrier net and can be stretched out into an irregular texture. The pine green shade is cooler and darker than ordinary leaf green, with a hint of blue. That is how it differs from the other variants of the range, which are tuned for deciduous trees, and it opens up use on coniferous bushes and dark undergrowth.
Tear a piece off and stretch it out into irregular gaps, then lay it onto the framework or onto the branches of a finished tree and fix it with sparing drops of super glue or white glue. On conifers work from the lower branches upwards; the crown will then keep its conical shape. Do not mix conifer and leaf greenery on one tree, as the difference between needles and leaf is distinct in nature and on a model it would come across as a mistake.
For builders of coniferous woods, mountain and winter scenes and for modelers who fine-tune finished conifers. It is a modeling material, not a toy. The manufacturer marks its landscaping goods as unsuitable for children under fifteen.
