Static grass from the wild grasses range, fiber length 5 to 6 mm, a 75 g package. The fibers are sprinkled into fresh glue and an electrostatic charge stands them up square. A longer fiber holds its shape less well than a short one, but the growth looks all the more alive for it: the blades splay a little and the area gains depth.
The shade named Winter Green is a subdued green without spring freshness, that is the color of growth that has come through the cold part of the year. It suits scenes at the turn of the season and anywhere saturated green would look too cheerful. A length of 5 to 6 mm corresponds to tall, unkept growth: in 1:35 scale to grass roughly 17 to 21 cm tall, in 1:87 scale to approximately 43 to 52 cm.
Over a continuous area apply glue for static grass or thinned PVA glue, stick the grounding pin of the applicator into it and let the fibers fall from the mesh. For tufts, proceed differently: apply the glue in small islands only, along a fence, by a wall, into a ditch or among rubble, where real grass grows tallest. Once dry, tap the area out or vacuum it carefully and return the fibers that have not stuck to the bag. The ends of the blades can be trimmed with scissors to an irregular height once dry.
For builders of dioramas, layouts, gaming boards and figure bases who need tall grass and pronounced tufts. The package holds the fibers alone; the glue, an applicator and a base are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
