An injection-molded plastic kit of the legendary French hot hatch Peugeot 205 GTI in 1:24 scale from Heller. The model comes from modern tooling and offers a reproduction of the engine and the interior, with the doors and the front hood arranged to open. According to the manufacturer the box contains plastic and rubber parts, decals and instructions.
The Peugeot 205 GTI was the sporting version of the successful small Peugeot 205 and became an icon of the hot hatches of the 1980s, a direct rival to the Volkswagen Golf GTI. It was marked by low weight, a nimble chassis and a lively four-cylinder engine; the well-known 1.9 form offered over 120 horsepower and a spirited character, which won the car a cult reputation.
On car models a carefully finished body with a gloss coat stands out, so it pays to paint with an airbrush and polish the surface to a high gloss, or treat it with a clear coat. Pick out the chrome elements with chrome paints or with self-adhesive chrome film. Bring the interior and the engine bay to life by shading the details, and protect the final decals (badges, trim) with a clear coat. Join the plastic parts with thin cement for plastic.
