Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet AC-40-137A fire truck - a water tender pump built on the chassis of an off-road ZiL truck. The kit offers a well worked-out chassis and cab, vinyl (rubber) tires, clear parts for the windshields and the lights, and a decal sheet for several vehicles. It makes a welcome change from purely combat vehicles.
The off-road ZiL truck was among the most widespread Soviet vehicles of the 1970s and 1980s and served as the basis for a number of special bodies. The AC-40-137A fire version was built from the middle of the 1980s; it was marked by an enlarged tank and by control of the water monitor from the cab. Vehicles of this type still serve with fire brigades in the countries of the former Soviet Union today.
Assemble and seat the chassis and the running gear before finishing the body. Fit the vinyl tires only after painting the hubs. The characteristic red body comes into its own with a gloss coat under the decals; finish the cab and the interior before closing them up. Keep the weathering restrained - it is a civilian vehicle, so dust and light dirt on the chassis rather than heavy mud effects. Pick out the chrome and the firefighting fittings.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
