The Kilo is a Russian diesel-electric attack submarine (Project 877 and its later variants), built to fight submarines and surface ships, to protect bases and coastlines and to carry out reconnaissance. Thanks to careful design she is among the quietest diesel submarines in the world, which earned her the nickname black hole. Kilo submarines serve with the Russian Navy and in a number of other countries.
With submarines the key is to glue and fill the hull joints perfectly - once filled and sanded, the seam must not show. A smooth hull calls for a careful primer coat and fine sanding, otherwise even the smallest irregularities stand out. A flat black or dark gray is typical; for effect, use light shading and a gentle wash. Set the small model on the enclosed stand.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
