Injection-molded plastic model of the Soviet armored command vehicle BTR-152S in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian brand ICM. This was the staff (command) form of the BTR-152 wheeled carrier with a raised closed body, inside which a mobile command post was fitted out with additional radio equipment. The box contains injection-molded plastic parts and a decal sheet.
The BTR-152 was the first series-built Soviet wheeled armored personnel carrier (6x6), developed after the Second World War on a truck chassis. The basic version carried an infantry squad in an open hull; a whole range of special versions grew out of its chassis. The S command version received a taller closed armored body, which served as a protected command and signals workplace.
Start by assembling and painting the chassis, the axles and the interior, and only then close up the hull and the body. Glue the parts with thin modeling cement for plastic, then fill and sand the joints. Lay down a primer and paint with an airbrush; bring the typical Soviet green to life by picking the panels out with a wash and by adding dust pigments to the chassis and the sides.
