Injection-molded plastic model of the German light armored car Sd.Kfz.223 in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian brand ICM. This was the radio (signals) form of the light armored reconnaissance vehicle, recognizable by the folding frame antenna above the hull. The box contains injection-molded plastic parts and a decal sheet.
The Sd.Kfz.223 (leichter Panzerspähwagen, Funk) was a four-wheeled light armored car derived from the Sd.Kfz.222. Unlike the Sd.Kfz.222 it carried a long-range radio set and kept only a machine gun in a small turret as armament. It maintained communications between the reconnaissance units and the command, and you can tell it by the characteristic folding frame antenna.
Start by assembling and painting the interior and the chassis, and only then close up the hull. Glue the parts with thin modeling cement for plastic; glue the delicate frame antenna with care, ideally with cyanoacrylate. Lay down a primer and paint with an airbrush in thin coats. Bring the running gear and the lower hull to life with a dark wash, and apply dust pigments to the fenders and the sides for convincing weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
