Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from manufacturer Mistercraft depicting the Soviet twin-engine long-range bomber Ilyushin Il-4. This particular Luftwaffe Prize boxing focuses on captured aircraft that flew in German colors and Luftwaffe markings after capture. It is a reissue of an older injection-molded model; judge the exact package contents and part count by the actual contents of the box.
The Ilyushin Il-4 (formerly DB-3F) was a Soviet twin-engine long-range bomber of the Second World War era. It was noted for its long range and was used to bomb ground targets, for naval missions, and for strikes on distant rear-area targets. The captured examples that this release focuses on were tested and used on the German side — hence the appealing combination of Soviet design and German markings.
Before gluing, clean the parts of any flash and test-fit the joints. Use thin liquid cement for plastic and apply a primer coat before painting. An airbrush is ideal for even, large-area coverage of the twin-engine aircraft's fuselage and wings. Mask the clear cockpit and gunner position parts so they stay transparent, and apply the decals over a gloss base to suppress silvering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints, and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
