An injection-molded plastic model of the Russian mobile missile system 9K728 Iskander-K in 1:72 scale from Modelcollect. The set represents the launch vehicle with its guided missiles on a heavy MZKT wheeled chassis. Besides the plastic parts, the box also holds a photo-etched sheet, rubber items and a decal sheet, so it allows a striking model of modern Russian hardware to be built complete with the launcher and the chassis.
Iskander is a modern Russian operational-tactical missile system. The version designated 9K728 (Iskander-K) carries, unlike the ballistic variant, cruise missiles launched from a transport-launch container. The whole system sits on a highly mobile MZKT wheeled chassis, which gives it cross-country mobility and a quick change of firing position. The system is intended to destroy ground targets at long range.
Glue the plastic parts with cement for plastic; finish and paint the running gear and the chassis cab before you close up the superstructure. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer before painting; an airbrush suits military vehicles, followed by accenting the panels with a wash and dusting the underside of the chassis with pigments for a faithful mud and dust effect.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
