A decal sheet in 1:72 scale for captured T-34 tanks in German service, listed under the designation Pz.Kpfw. T-34 747(r), the manufacturer's part number T72014.
Responsibility details are not available.
During the war on the Eastern Front the German army captured a great number of Soviet T-34 tanks and took some of them into its own units. For such machines it introduced the designation Pz.Kpfw. T-34 747(r), where the letter in brackets points to their Soviet origin. Captured machines were given German crosses and other markings so that their own soldiers and airmen would not mistake them for the enemy, which makes them a rewarding and unusual subject.
A decal sheet in 1:72 scale for T-34 tanks captured and remarked in this way. Which particular machines and units the sheet covers is given in the manufacturer's instructions supplied with it.
Before you soak the sheet, check in the instructions whether it is a self-adhesive version. A self-adhesive film that has been soaked is ruined beyond repair, whereas a wet decal that has not been soaked can be soaked later. With wet sheets the procedure is well established: cut the decal out close to the edge, coat the area under it with gloss varnish beforehand, soak the decal briefly and let it stand on the paper until it loosens. Then move it onto the model, straighten it and blot off the excess water. On unevenness and rivets a decal softener helps, drawing the decal down to the surface. Finally seal everything with varnish so that the glossy edge of the film disappears.
The tank model, the paints, the varnish and the decal softener are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
