This is a photo-etched brass set from Voyager Model meant for building a military barricade wire obstacle of the razor wire type in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of a vehicle but a scenic accessory from which you assemble three-dimensional coils of wire for dioramas and display cases. The set is general-purpose and suits a range of kits as well as standalone scenes.
Barricade and razor wire belong among the typical items of fortified positions, checkpoints, base perimeters and battlefields from the Second World War down to the present day. Photo-etched brass makes it possible to create thin, sharply readable barbs and coils of a kind that are hard to reproduce from plastic or from wire, and it looks convincing in scale.
Carefully take the parts out of the fret, wind the flat strip onto a suitable round former (a round rod, for instance) into an even spiral and then stretch it out to the length you want. Cyanoacrylate glue has proved itself for joining and fixing the parts. We recommend degreasing the brass before painting and spraying it with a primer; rust and dust come out well with washes and pigments.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and other materials are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
