An add-on of the LooK line with an instrument panel for a model of the Italian Savoia-Marchetti SM.79 aircraft in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Savoia-Marchetti SM.79 was an Italian three-engine aircraft that served as a bomber and became famous mainly as a torpedo carrier. You will recognize it by the characteristic dorsal hump behind the pilot's cockpit. The cockpit is fairly cramped and the instrument panel in it stays clearly visible once the build is done, especially if you build the model with the entries open.
It is a set of the LooK line aimed at the instrument panel of an SM.79 model in 1:48 scale. It replaces the corresponding part of the kit and the aim is a more finely rendered panel with legible instruments. What exactly the package contains and which kit the set is prepared for are given in the manufacturer's instructions. Most views into the cockpit converge around the instrument panel, so even a small improvement shows on a finished model.
First try setting the panel in dry and compare it with the surroundings of the cockpit; sometimes a little plastic has to be taken off the walls or the floor for the part to seat in place. The way it is attached and the recommended assembly procedure follow the manufacturer's instructions. Finish the cockpit and let it cure thoroughly before you glue the fuselage halves together - afterwards you will not reach the panel.
The set suits modelers who are building the SM.79 with an open cockpit and want the interior sharp even at a close look or in a photograph. It takes a few minutes of work and it shows in the most exposed place on the model, without your having to take the rest of the interior apart. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
