Plastic kit of the Czechoslovak light aircraft Zlin Z-XII in 1:72 scale from RS Models.
Responsibility details are not available.
Injection-molded plastic kit of the Czechoslovak light low-wing monoplane Zlin Z-XII in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker RS Models. It is a short-run kit, with which it pays to allow for cleaning up and fitting the parts. The form with open cockpits captures the character of a prewar trainer and touring aircraft.
The Zlin Z-XII was one of the first production aircraft of the Zlin company, developed in the middle of the 1930s as a light low-wing monoplane with fixed landing gear and open cockpits in tandem. It served for training and recreational flying and was built in fairly large numbers; it thus became one of the pillars of prewar Czechoslovak sport aviation.
With a short-run kit, clean the flash off the parts, fit the surfaces by sanding and glue them with liquid cement for plastic; the small parts can be glued with cyanoacrylate. Lay down a primer, and fine glazing will underline the fabric and wooden surfaces of the real subject. The open cockpits offer room for finishing the interior; pick the engraved detail out with a wash and use a gloss clear coat before the decals.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
