Responsibility details are not available.
A model of the American carrier-borne interceptor Grumman F-14D Tomcat from the renowned Japanese manufacturer Tamiya, famous for the precise fit of its parts. A kit with movable variable-geometry wings and a rich weapons load, to be glued and painted.
The F-14 Tomcat was a two-seat carrier-borne interceptor of the US Navy with a variable-geometry wing and the long-range AIM-54 Phoenix missiles. The F-14D version was the last and highest performing variant, with General Electric F110 engines and digital avionics (the AN/APG-71 radar); it remained in US Navy service until 2006.
It is worth building the model in subassemblies and testing the fit of the parts dry before gluing. Paint the cockpit and the interior and, if you wish, pick them out with a wash before closing the fuselage. For the best result use a good thin cement for plastic, fine files and, after the primer coat, an airbrush. Apply the decals over a gloss coat and seal them with a matte one.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
