About product

1:48 Su-34 - resin exhaust nozzles (RESArm)

This is NOT an airplane model but a detail accessory. The set from RESArm contains 3D-printed resin exhaust nozzles that replace the simplified parts from the base kit. The nozzles carry finely executed petals and an internal structure that plastic parts usually cannot reach.

The real subject

The Su-34 Fullback is a Russian two-seat tactical bomber derived from the Flanker family, powered by a pair of jet engines. Realistically rendered nozzles raise the fidelity of the rear of the model considerably, and seen from behind that is its dominant feature.

Use and tips

  • Wash the parts to remove uncured print resin residue and cut them off the print supports.
  • Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate).
  • Sand with respiratory protection.
  • Bring out the inside of the nozzles with a dark wash and metallic shades.

Who the set is for

  • Modelers interested in the greatest fidelity of the powerplant.
  • More advanced builders used to working with resin.

The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the glue and paints are not included in the package.
