Responsibility details are not available.
A large injection-molded plastic kit of the Canadian Flower class corvette HMCS Snowberry in 1:144 scale from Revell. The model has a detailed hull, well-worked superstructures, the main gun, anti-aircraft armament, a radar mast and the equipment for dropping depth charges; a stand for display is included. The large 1:144 scale makes the ship a striking piece and leaves room for adding photo-etched details such as railings.
The Flower class corvettes were small but immensely important escort ships of the Battle of the Atlantic. They escorted Allied convoys and defended them against German submarines. HMCS Snowberry served with the Royal Canadian Navy and took part in protecting the vital supply routes across the Atlantic. The ships were known for their modest size, their toughness and the hard service in the stormy North Atlantic.
Decide whether you will build the ship with the full hull on the stand or as a waterline model. Glue the superstructures and the fine armament parts only after the hull has had its base coat. Use an airbrush for the period camouflage, and pick out the panel and rivet details with a wash and a light dry brush. Railings and fine photo-etched additions will raise the final effect considerably.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
