Injection-molded plastic kit of the modern European Scania R730 V8 tractor unit with the Topline cab in 1:24 scale from the Italian manufacturer Italeri. The Imperial version represents a strikingly decorated show truck edition. The box contains plastic parts, rubber tires, decals and assembly instructions; it is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Scania R series is among the best of the European long-haul tractor units. The R730 version is powered by a high-output V8 engine, which gave the brand its famous sound and its pulling power. The Topline cab offers the highest roof profile with a roomy interior for long-distance haulage. A finish such as Imperial belongs to the so-called show trucks, carefully prepared and richly decorated trucks that combine working equipment with a showpiece appearance, polished paint and plenty of chrome.
Use liquid cement for plastic on the plastic joints. The basis of the effect is a deep gloss finish on the cab: spray with an airbrush over primer and go over it with clear, which prepares a smooth base for the decals and gives the finish depth. Treat the chrome parts, the bumper and the accessories carefully so that they do not get scratched. Paint the detailed chassis and the V8 engine before closing them up, apply the livery decals patiently and seal them with clear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
