1:32 Python 3 missiles (4 pcs) contains four Israeli air-to-air guided missiles with infrared guidance in resin 3D printing.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Israeli Python 3 is among the most notable short-range missiles of its day and Reskit offers it in four pieces. Resin printing manages the thin forward control fins and the fine ribbing of the rear fins, which can never be made as delicate in injected plastic. You will not find the carrier machine in the package, because the set serves to arm it.
The missile came about at the Rafael company as a markedly more capable successor to the older Shafrir type. It brought a passive infrared seeker with a wide off-axis angle and the ability to attack from any direction, not only from behind onto the exhaust. It proved itself in combat in 1982 over the Bekaa Valley, where Israeli machines achieved an extraordinary kill ratio. It was carried by Kfir and Mirage fighters and by American types in the service of the Israeli Air Force, and thanks to exports it also appeared with further users, for instance on machines derived from the MiG-21 or on the JF-17 type.
Missiles of this period tend to be white or light gray with color bands at the seeker head that tell a training round from a live one. Lay the white on over a light base in several thin coats, otherwise the panel lines are lost under it. Imitate the transparent cover of the seeker with a drop of gloss varnish gone over with a thin coat of smoke color. Seat the missile in the rack only after the finish is complete, so that the fragile fins are not damaged.
Supplied unassembled and unpainted, without paints and glue.
