An extensive injection-molded plastic kit of the American M911 C-HET (8x6) heavy tractor together with the M747 semi-trailer for carrying heavy equipment, in 1:35 scale. Photo-etched parts, reflective film and window masks for the cab round the box out. It is a large and fairly demanding project; the model is assembled and painted.
The M911 was a heavy army tractor adopted by the United States Army at the end of the nineteen seventies as a means of moving tanks and heavy equipment. Together with the M747 semi-trailer it could carry very heavy loads by road, and it was among the most important equipment transporters until newer types later replaced it.
Work in assemblies: the chassis, the engine and the interior of the tractor cab first, then the frame of the semi-trailer. Glue the photo-etched parts with super glue and use the masks for cleanly painted windows. Prime the surfaces and paint with an airbrush; dust and mud effects with washes and pigments will bring the chassis and the deck of the trailer to life.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories beyond the contents of the box are not included, unless stated otherwise.
