This is a 3D-printed resin detail set, not a model in its own right. The package contains a pair (2 pieces) of storage baskets for the rear of the hull of the Merkava Mk.3 tank with realistic damage and with working, movable chains. The set replaces the simplified plastic parts and markedly raises the fidelity of the model in 1:35 scale.
The Merkava (meaning chariot in Hebrew) is an Israeli main battle tank developed from the 1970s. Its hallmarks are the front-mounted engine for better protection of the crew and the extensive fit of external baskets and chain curtains, in which the crew stows equipment and which help to set off shaped-charge ammunition early. The Mk.3 version brought a more powerful power plant, a new turret and modular armor.
First wash the resin parts free of mold release agent residue, carefully cut off the casting blocks and the supports and clean the cuts up. Glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and wear respiratory protection while sanding. The damage comes out after washes and pigments are applied.
This is an accessory detail set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
