The M18 Hellcat was an American tank destroyer of the Second World War, built around a single idea: to be faster than everything else on the battlefield. Its light structure and powerful engine made it the fastest tracked combat vehicle of its day, but that speed was paid for with thin armor and an open turret. The crews therefore carried on the vehicle everything they needed for living and for fighting, so a machine in the field looked quite different from a freshly built one from the factory.
An imitation of the stowage and equipment that you place on the hull and the turret of the model. It is exactly this feature that turns a model into a vehicle somebody uses: an empty surface looks sterile, while stowed gear gives away that the machine has seen service. The composition of the parts and the recommended placement are given in the instructions enclosed with the set.
Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a short distance from the part and sand the rest smooth. Wash and degrease the parts before painting and use a base coat. Super glue is suitable for bonding. Try the placement out dry first and watch that the stowage lies where it would not get in the crew's way and where it would stay put while moving. Paint the individual pieces in different shades; a uniform finish spoils the whole impression, because in practice the stowage was put together from various sources.
