This detail set from the Italian maker Royal Model brings resin and photo-etched parts for refining models of American tanks in 1:35 scale. It replaces simplified factory elements with finer, scale-faithful parts and adds small equipment that injection-molded plastic does not capture. It is an accessory fitted to a kit that has been built, not a model of a tank.
American tanks of the Second World War, headed by the widespread M4 Sherman medium tank, carried a range of characteristic details: handles, hatches, lights, tools and small fittings. It is precisely their faithful rendition that sets a carefully built model apart from a build straight from the box.
Wash the mold release off the resin parts and cut off the casting blocks, and bend the fine photo-etch over the edge of a ruler. Glue everything with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a primer before painting; bring the detail out with a wash and a dry brush and suggest wear with chipped paint and pigments.
This is a supplementary detail set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
