This item is only the upper half of an undead body, not a whole figure. It comes from the Zombies series, which the Italian brand Royal Model produces by casting in polyurethane resin. The chosen crop makes it a space-saving way to add another figure to a scene without it competing for attention with the main subject.
The half body is easily hidden behind a curb, rubble or a vehicle track, so it works in the foreground as well as in a corner of the scene. Modelers use it to suggest the movement of a crowd, to fill an empty spot by a wall or to add a small piece of storytelling that the viewer notices only after a while. It works well paired with complete figures from the same series.
Before building, degrease the casting in a lukewarm bath with a degreasing agent. Cut off the casting block remnants and finish the surface with wet-sanded abrasive paper; do not inhale the resin dust. Super glue holds the joints, and any gaps can be filled with modeling putty. The painting rests on dark shading and on a dry brush, which brings out the texture of the skin and of the torn cloth.
The package holds the resin casting alone, without paints and without glue; both have to be bought separately, unless stated otherwise.
