F-105G Thunderchief 1:48 - a 3D interior decal from Quinta Studio

This set of 3D decals from Quinta Studio consists of color, three-dimensionally formed parts on a backing decal paper. They faithfully imitate the instrument panel, the consoles and other elements of the cockpit of the two-seat anti-radar F-105G Thunderchief (Wild Weasel) version in 1:48 scale. The printed layer is flexible and adapts to the shape of the interior.

Use

  • Cut the part out, soak it for about fifteen seconds in lukewarm water and slide it off the paper into place; it has no adhesive layer of its own.
  • Go over the surface underneath with a gloss coat beforehand (Future, Klear, Tamiya X-22), on which the element holds.
  • Do not use decal softeners, as they attack the printed resin; secure firmer elements with a drop of cyanoacrylate glue.
  • Multilayer elements stack on top of one another and the cut edges can be touched up with a brush.

Who it is for

For modelers building the F-105G in 1:48 scale who want a detailed cockpit quickly and without painting the individual dials.

It is an accessory to a model, not a kit. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.

FAQ

The two-seat anti-radar version of the F-105 Thunderchief fighter-bomber, used to suppress enemy air defenses and nicknamed Wild Weasel.

Soak the part for about fifteen seconds in lukewarm water and slide it off the paper onto a surface gone over with a gloss coat; it has no glue of its own. Do not use decal softeners, and secure firmer elements with a drop of cyanoacrylate glue.

Not necessarily - the instrument panel and the panels are finished and in color. Small touch-ups of the cut edges are enough.
