This product is a modeling paint, not a kit. Revell Email Color is a solvent-based synthetic enamel paint (not an acrylic) in a bottle with a volume of 14 ml. Shade number 42 Yellowish Olive has a matte finish. It is an olive green noticeably shifted toward yellow — exactly the muted, khaki-leaning tone worn by paint schemes on ground military equipment and green camouflage areas.
Thinned with Revell Color Mix, or mineral spirits — never water. Applied with a brush or an airbrush. Mix the paint thoroughly before use, since the pigment settles in the bottle. The enamel paint has excellent covering power and is abrasion-resistant once dry, so it handles subsequent weathering well.
A matte military shade is the target look, but always spray a gloss varnish under decals. On a matte base, air gets trapped under the decal and the edges begin to silver. Once the decals are dry, coat the model back to matte.
