Revell 57 Grey is a synthetic enamel (solvent-based) paint from the Revell Email Color range, supplied in a 14 ml bottle with a matte sheen. According to the manufacturer, the shade matches RAL 7000. It is a modeling paint, not a kit: the package holds the paint only.
It is not an acrylic: it is not thinned with water. For thinning and cleaning use Revell Color Mix, or a common enamel thinner (mineral spirits). The paint can be applied with a brush and with an airbrush; always stir it thoroughly before use, because the pigment of matte enamels settles at the bottom. Several thin coats are recommended instead of one heavy one: the enamel dries better that way and keeps its matte finish.
A tip on decals: a matte surface is the right final look, but decals silver on it. Coat the areas under the decals with a gloss varnish, apply the decal onto the gloss and only then even the whole model out with a matte varnish.
For modelers building aircraft, military and civil vehicles and dioramas, and for anyone who keeps a stock of basic shades for mixing. Suitable for beginners and advanced builders, for brush and airbrush.
Safety: flammable. The fumes irritate your airways. Work in a well-ventilated area and use respiratory protection when spraying. Keep out of the reach of children, away from sources of ignition and protect from open flame.
