731 Red

Revell 731 Red, synthetic paint 14 ml

A jar of Revell synthetic modeling paint with a volume of 14 ml. The shade carries the manufacturer's part number 731 and the name Red. The paint is intended for painting plastic models and takes a brush as well as a spray gun.

Working with the paint

• Stir the contents well before every use, ideally with a stick from the bottom; settled pigment otherwise shifts the shade.
• Work in several thin coats. A thick coat fills fine relief and brush marks stay in it.
• For a spray gun, thin the paint with thinner for synthetic paints, never with water.
• Clean your tools with the same thinner right after you finish work.
• Close the jar carefully, because dried paint on the thread prevents it from closing.

Where red finds a use on a model

Red is one of the shades that reach almost every model: warning areas, fire and rescue vehicles, sports cars, aircraft markings or small items in an interior. Count on a saturated red covering worse than dark shades. Over a dark base it looks dull, so apply it over a light, ideally white base color, and rather add another thin coat.

Storage and shelf life

Store it in a well-closed jar, away from heat and frost. Thickened paint can be thinned, but try the result on an offcut of plastic first, not straight on the model.

The package contains only the 14 ml jar of paint. Thinner, brushes, a spray gun and a model are not included, unless stated otherwise.
