Green RLM72 17ml

Vallejo Model Air Green RLM72, 17 ml

An opaque water-based acrylic paint from the Model Air range. It is a saturated dark green whose name refers to the period German aviation designation of shades. The paint comes thinned to a sprayable consistency from the manufacturer, but that does nothing to change the fact that it is a full opaque color and not a toning medium.

Coverage and building up layers

• Dark greens tend to show through in a thin coat, so reckon on two or three passes instead of one heavy one.
• The difference between a light and a dark base tells with this kind of shade, so even the base out with a primer in a neutral tone.
• Let the paint set between coats, otherwise the previous layer lifts on the next pass and the surface roughens.
• Take the last coat in one direction across the whole surface, so that the resulting tone is even.
• The finished surface is matte, so even small imperfections in the base show up on it — sanding pays off beforehand, not after spraying.

Who the paint is for

The paint suits aircraft modelers who build camouflage from several green tones and need a stable opaque base. The same range carries on smoothly to other shades, because they all have a comparable consistency and drying time.

A water-based acrylic paint. Spray in a well ventilated space and protect your airways with a respirator. Do not drink it, keep it out of the reach of children and close the bottle carefully after use.
