Xtreme Metal Metallic Smoke is a metallic modeling paint on a lacquer base from AK interactive, ready for airbrushing. It is a dark, smoke-tinted metal shade that suits above all the darkening and shading of metal surfaces that have already been sprayed — it creates the impression of scorched, tarnished or smoked metal on exhausts, burner cans and gun barrels. It is neither an acrylic nor an enamel; it is thinned and cleaned with the original thinner and cleaner of the Xtreme range. The paint does not damage plastic and can be clear coated without losing its shine.

Use

• It is applied with an airbrush; stir it thoroughly before use, because the metal pigment settles at the bottom.
• It is often used as a dark veil over a lighter metal (steel, aluminum) for a smoked effect.
• It comes out best over a smooth gloss base.
• Apply metallic paint at the end — it is harder to mask and to overspray.
