A kit of the British Humber armored car in the Mk.IV version in 1:72 scale from the brand Fore Art. This is not a finished model: the parts are cleaned up, assembled and painted. With vehicles of the Second World War, 1:72 is one of the most widespread scales, so the car slots easily into a collection already under way.
In the Second World War the Humber was among the most numerous British armored cars. The four-wheeled vehicle with all-wheel drive served mainly for reconnaissance, liaison and securing an advance. The Mk.IV version differs from the older forms above all in its armament: instead of the 15 mm Besa heavy machine gun, the turret received the American 37 mm M6 gun with a coaxial 7.92 mm Besa machine gun. Besides British units, Humber cars were also used by other Allied formations, among them Czechoslovak and Polish ones.
Try the parts dry first and choose the glue according to the material they are cast in; with small parts at this scale cyanoacrylate glue applied with a pin proves itself. It is a good idea to paint the hull and the turret separately and only then to join them. A primer from a can or through an airbrush will even the surface out and help the coverage of the paint that follows. British vehicles tended to have a uniform dark green finish, which is brought to life well by a lighter shade on the upper surfaces and a dark wash into the engraved lines and around the rivets. Dust pigments belong on the wheels, the fenders and the underside of the hull, and a dry brush on the edges.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
