This detail set from the Polish firm Aber for 1:35 scale contains turned and photo-etched brass parts for building German command vehicle antennas 2 m, 1.8 m and 1.4 m long. Photo-etched bases and elements of the star (spider) antenna are usually included as well. It is not a model or a tank kit but a finishing accessory that replaces the soft and inaccurate plastic antennas from the box.
Command tanks carried additional radio antennas of various lengths for long-range communication, and a star antenna. Thin turned brass rods hold their shape far better than plastic parts, which bend or snap easily. The set is intended for models of German command tanks in 1:35 scale.
Separate the photo-etched bases with a sharp knife and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The turned rods can be shortened to the length you need. Degrease the brass before painting and spray it with primer; antennas are usually sprayed matte black or dark gray. Work with eye protection and in a well-ventilated room.
