An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighter in the G-2/G-4 version in 1:32 scale from Revell. The kit comes from newer tooling, allows either the early or the later variant to be built (different wheels, cowling and rudder) and contains decals for two historical machines.
The Bf 109 of the G series (Gustav) was the peak of development of this fighter. The G-2 and G-4 versions of 1942 were powered by the inverted V12 Daimler-Benz DB 605 engine and formed the backbone of the day fighter force on every front. They differed mainly in details of equipment and in the radio.
A large scale rewards a carefully painted cockpit, which you should finish before you close up the fuselage; mask the canopy glazing. Decide in advance on the early or the later variant according to the parts provided. Paint with an airbrush over a base coat, and lay down a clear coat under the decals.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
