Resin exhausts for the Spitfire Mk.V in 1:32 scale from Quickboost. A resin replacement detail with hollow ends; this is not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin replacement part, not a model. This resin set from the Czech brand Quickboost (Aires) in 1:32 scale holds the exhaust stacks for the British Supermarine Spitfire Mk.V fighter. It is an easy-to-fit resin detail with cast-in hollow ends that replaces the solid plastic parts from the box. It is supplied unpainted and without an airplane model.
The Spitfire Mk.V was one of the most numerous versions of the machine and carried the Rolls-Royce Merlin engine. The rows of exhaust stacks along the sides of the engine cowling are among the striking features of the silhouette. The resin exhausts have a faithful shape and hollow ends, so they look realistic on a finished model without any drilling and become a rewarding place for burnt-metal and soot effects.
Wash the parts free of mold release residue, carefully cut off the casting blocks and sand the mating surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue and try the position first. Apply a primer before painting; burnt-metal and rust shades built up with an airbrush work well, completed with pigments and a wash for faithful wear.
The part is supplied unpainted as a resin casting. Glue, paints and the airplane model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
