F-16 block 30/32 reinforcement plates in 1:48 for the Kinetic kit give the airframe of the Fighting Falcon the characteristic look of the late production blocks.
Responsibility details are not available.
This accessory from Quinta Studio, from its branch of aircraft decals, represents the strengthening plates on the airframe, a typical identifying mark of F-16 machines of the later production blocks. The set is cut for the Kinetic kit, specified in the name as the 2008 tooling. Take care when choosing: a variant of the same name made for the Hasegawa kit also exists, and the only thing that distinguishes them is the note in the bracket of the name.
Blocks 30 and 32 represent parallel branches of F-16C/D production, which differ from each other above all in the powerplant. As the flying hours mounted, the airframes of these machines received visible strengthening elements, which remain one of the characteristic surface details: on a model they immediately give away how long and how hard the aircraft has been flown.
Seat the plates on a smoothed, ideally gloss coat of the base camouflage, and always place them according to photographs of the particular machine. Once dry it is worth varnishing the whole so that the edges blend with the surface, and only then applying a panel wash and the rest of the weathering. A soft brush and lukewarm water will make the work easier.
