Terraform Ballast texture compound creates the surface of coarse gravel ballast on a diorama. It is not a paint and not a loose scatter material.
Responsibility details are not available.
A texture compound from the terrain-building line that creates the surface of coarse gravel and stone ballast on the area of a diorama. It suits track ballast, gravel roads, verges, yards and fill around buildings. It is applied directly onto the surface and once dry it forms a firm surface that can be painted, weathered and planted with vegetation.
Degrease the surface and apply the compound with a spatula, an old brush or a stick. Apply it irregularly and in varying thickness; a perfectly even surface looks artificial, and you will emphasize the coarse structure by only pushing the compound out rather than smoothing it. Let it dry thoroughly and only then paint it. The shade is refined with a glaze or a wash that runs between the grains and brings out the structure, and with pigments for a dusty or muddy touch. Wash the tools while the compound is still wet; once dry it is difficult to remove. Close the remainder in the pot properly, texture compounds set in the air.
For builders of dioramas, vignettes and layouts who want a coarse surface finished in one application instead of gluing down loose material. Working with it is simple and calls for no special tools.
A material for building a scene. Paints, pigments and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
