Quinta Studio 1:72 German four-color lozenge (upper surfaces) is a sheet of ultra-thin semi-translucent decals of the camouflage pattern for the covering of German First World War aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
This decal sheet from Quinta Studio in 1:72 scale reproduces the characteristic German lozenge camouflage pattern in the four-color variant for the upper surfaces. The decals are ultra-thin and semi-translucent so that the base coat shows through them slightly and the result looks like printed covering fabric. It is not a 3D interior decal and it is not a kit, but a surface camouflage set for the covering of a model.
Lozenge was a diamond-shaped camouflage pattern printed directly onto the covering fabric of German aircraft in the First World War. It took the place of laborious hand painting and existed in several color and geometric variants for the upper and lower surfaces. This set corresponds to the four-color version for the upper surfaces.
The decals are applied like classic wet decals onto a smooth, preferably glossy varnish. Given how thin the film is, it is worth working patiently, using a decal softener to make it settle into ribs and seams, and planning the surfaces out beforehand according to how the strips really ran. Once dry, the whole area can be given a coat of matte varnish to unify the finish.
This is a decal set, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
