An injection-molded plastic kit of the British Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vb fighter in 1:72 scale from Revell. The kit offers a detailed cockpit, a spinning propeller, landing gear and a drop tank. The decals make it possible to build the aircraft in the colors of the Royal Air Force. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted, and the difficulty suits builders with some experience.
The Spitfire Mk.V was one of the most widespread versions of this legendary fighter. The Mk.Vb variant received a pair of 20 mm cannon in the wings, which replaced some of the .303 machine guns, and it proved itself in many actions over Europe and North Africa. It was powered by the Rolls-Royce Merlin engine.
Glue the parts with a thin plastic modeling cement and sand the joints. Finish and paint the cockpit first, then close up the fuselage. Apply a primer before painting and spray the camouflage scheme with an airbrush in layers. Before applying the decals, give the surface a coat of gloss varnish and flatten it once it has dried.
