An injection-molded plastic kit of the narrow-body airliner Boeing 737-800 in the colors of the Turkish carrier, in 1:144 scale from Revell. The box contains a large decal sheet with the current company scheme and finely rendered engine nacelles and landing gear. Even in this smaller scale it is a fairly large airliner model.
The Boeing 737-800 is one of the most widespread narrow-body airliners in the world. It is part of the 737 Next Generation family and is marked by a pair of underwing engines, a modern flight deck and a capacity of just under two hundred passengers. It is used mainly on short and medium routes and has become the backbone of the fleets of many airlines all over the world thanks to its efficiency and reliability.
Use thin cement for plastic and build in subassemblies. On the smooth fuselage of an airliner it pays to fill and sand the joints carefully, because they show up under a gloss finish. Apply a primer before painting and use an airbrush; put the base white on evenly and smoothly. Apply the extensive decals onto a gloss coat so that no silvering appears at the edges. Glue the cockpit glazing with a cement meant for canopies.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
