An injection-molded plastic kit of the Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental airliner in the colors of Lufthansa, 1:144 scale, from Revell. It is a large and more demanding model with a well worked-out fuselage, wheel wells and engines; a display stand and an extensive decal sheet with the Lufthansa livery are usually included. The exact number of parts and the contents of the box are stated by the manufacturer.
The Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental is the newest and longest variant of the legendary Jumbo Jet family. Compared with the 747-400 it has a stretched fuselage, new and more economical GEnx turbofan engines and reworked wings, thanks to which it is among the longest airliners in the world. Lufthansa was the first operator of the passenger version of the 747-8 and put the aircraft on long-haul routes.
Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement and hold the large fuselage halves with clamps until the joint has dried; fill and sand the seams carefully, because every flaw shows on the smooth white upper surface. Most of the look comes from the decals - lay them on a gloss coat and use a decal softener so that they settle onto the curved fuselage. Fit the windows and the cockpit glazing and mask them properly.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
