The Super Constellation was one of the peaks of the piston airliner era. Characterized by its triple tail and its slender, gracefully curved fuselage, it served in the 1950s on prestigious long-haul and transatlantic routes. It was powered by four radial engines and in its day it was one of the fastest and most comfortable airliners, until jet aircraft replaced it.

Building and painting tips

Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic, and the clear window and cabin parts with liquid canopy glue. The polished metal surfaces of the fuselage are best built up by spraying gradually over primer; apply the decals onto a smooth gloss surface. With airline liveries, decide on the chosen finish in advance so that the areas and the lines follow on from one another.
