An injection-molded plastic model of the shipborne helicopter Westland Sea Lynx Mk.88A in the large 1:32 scale. This release brings a special (anniversary) color scheme. It is a fairly extensive kit for experienced modelers, with fine surface detail and engraved joints; the package contains plastic sprues, clear parts and a decal sheet. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Sea Lynx was a British shipborne multipurpose helicopter which, in the Mk.88A form, served with the German Navy. It operated from the decks of frigates and carried out anti-submarine and anti-surface duties above all, as well as reconnaissance and liaison. It was the backbone of the shipborne helicopter force for many years and was known for its agility. The special scheme of this release marks an anniversary of its service.
In the large scale the detail of the interior and of the rotor head shows well — finish them before closing the fuselage. Use liquid cement for plastic on the joints, mask the glazing and glue it on only after the cockpit has been sprayed. Lay the base over a primer and spray the paints thinned with an airbrush. Go through the instructions before building; check the decal sheet and the layout of the bold scheme carefully.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
