This resin set from the Italian maker Royal Model brings cargo and equipment to bring a model of the DUKW amphibious truck in 1:35 scale to life. It contains cast accessories, crates, sacks, drums, tarpaulins and personal equipment, which fill the load bed and give the vehicle a lived-in, working look. It is a diorama accessory, not a model of the vehicle.
The DUKW, nicknamed the Duck, was an American six-wheel amphibious truck used in the Second World War to carry supplies and men from ships directly onto a beach. It was exactly the cargo carried, ammunition crates, jerrycans, sacks and personal kit, that was part of the typical picture of these vehicles in action.
Wash the mold release residue off the resin parts in lukewarm water with detergent and cut off the casting blocks. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a primer before painting; paint the individual objects separately, bring them out with a wash and a dry brush and add dust pigments for a faithful fit into the scene.
This is a supplementary resin set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
