This is a resin detail set from the Italian maker Royal Model in 1:35 scale that replaces or completes the cover of the engine compartment on a model of the British Universal Carrier tracked carrier. It is not a standalone kit of the vehicle but an aftermarket accessory with which you lift the detail of a base model.
The castings in quality polyurethane resin capture the structure of the plates, rivets and grilles more accurately than ordinary injection-molded plastic allows. The set is intended for a realistic rendition of the covered powerplant and suits both an open and a closed treatment of a scene.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, cut off the casting blocks carefully and join them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a base coat (primer) before painting and sand with respiratory protection.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
