Common Nettle — a GAS HANS Diorama Plant, 1:35

A set of laser-cut plants — common nettle — in 1:35 scale from GAS HANS. This is not a vehicle model or an equipment kit, but a diorama accessory: from thin, laser-cut parts (usually pre-colored paper, supplemented with fine material for the flower clusters) you assemble realistic clumps of nettles that bring a base, vignette or diorama to life. Nettles are among the most common weeds found along roadsides and ditches in the European landscape, so they lend a scene an authentic setting.

Assembly and painting

• Carefully cut the parts from the sheet and shape the leaves and stems into a natural form.
• Assemble and glue with small drops of cyanoacrylate or white glue.
• The paper is usually pre-colored, but light shading and dry brushing are still worth doing to bring out the leaf texture.
• Glue the finished clumps into the terrain and add static grass or pigments.
